As King Open’s Family Liaison for more than 30 years, Lena has worked tirelessly for King Open students and their families. She deserves some fun!
Donate to a gift that she can choose herself. We will suggest she consider:
» A huge comfy reading chair
» A visit to a Zen spa
» Rollerblades & a helmet
» Flamenco lessons
» A stand-up bass

The Friends of King Open "Lena James Fund"
|
King Open families choose KO because they want their family and children to be part of a community that is not economically segregated. The “Lena James Fund” will support:
» Scholarships so more KO students can attend enriching afterschool and summer programs that are otherwise not affordable to all
» Visiting artists, writers, and performance groups that bring KO students together through the arts
» Field trips and overnights so students will learn together outside of the school walls
» The Corey Davis Fund, which helps at-risk KO youth connect with something they feel truly passionate about.
Lena will advise us on use of the Lena James Fund (of course), but we welcome your suggestions. Please email them to FriendsofKingOpen@gmail.com.
